This was my first Isle of Man TT. I got very lucky with the weather for the whole race week that year - not one drop of rain! I was only there for five days (four race days total), but got to see all the scheduled races. I pretty much stayed around Douglas to view the races, but did spend one day up on the mountain at Bungalow. This was also my first real attempt at Motorsports photography, and really the genesis for this website.

I call it "my shipping container house", but it's actually a purpose-built self contained module with two beds and a bathroom.
Before the races, you can wander through the paddock and see the race teams close up. This is #14 James Hind and #25 Philip Crowe.
The larger teams will have the bigger tents and race in several classes and sponsor more than one rider. Milencio by Padgett's Motorcycles sponsors #8 Davey Todd and #11 Connor Cummins.

A view from the Grandstands on Glencrutchery Road. Both the Grandstands and Pits are permanent structures. The riders are sent off every 10 seconds, and after the last rider clears the grid, the inflable arch is removed and the road is cleared before the first rider completes his first lap.
