The Manx Grand Prix takes place in August and competes over the same Mountain Course as the TT. The main differences between the two events are that there is no Sidecar class and no Litre bike classes. The Senior & Supersport classes will range from 2, 3, and 4 cyl bikes up to 750cc, and the Junior & Sportbike classes are typically 700cc. The MGP also caters to amateur riders and is also a learning experience for riders that will eventually go on to race in the TT. The overall pace of the week is slower, with a more “classic” race feel, including classic race bike parade laps and other events around the island. The 2023 Manx GP was the 100th Anniversary GP, and included a flyover by a restored Supermarine Spitifire.
