THANKS FOR STOPPING BY….

I suppose this is a long time coming. I meant to have this website up 6 months ago. But then, you know, one thing leads to another and before you realize it you’re deep in the weeds on some other nonsensical project. Apparently, that’s how my brain operates.

I’m not a writer, so please bear with me. I’ve added this blog page to the site mainly so I can keep notes for myself when I travel. Now that I’m in a position where I have the freedom to do more traveling and work on photography projects, I need some way to keep them all sorted out. Oh, and these blog posts won’t be long drawn out missives about the current state of world and where my mind is. I promise.

I’ve had several people ask me if I’m starting a photography business. I’m not, and this website isn’t for that purpose. One of the main reasons I have this site is that for me, photography is one of those endeavors that’s more passion than hobby. I enjoy all aspects of it, similar to how I look at riding. Sometimes I enjoy the journey more than the destination. Another reason is I’m really not looking for a second career. I’m retired, and would much prefer to stay that way. Also, the way I see it, the best way to end up hating your hobby is to turn it into a business. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not opposed to selling prints if anyone were interested.

And as a rider, I also want to share what I’ve seen and learned, and talk about the places I’ve been with the riding community. I’ve been extremely lucky to have put the miles down that I have, in the places I have. I really feel the East Coast/Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. is underrated. There are so many great destinations and roads to ride that remain unknown to a lot of riders, my home state of West Virginia included. That’s another goal I have with this site, to combine my passions for Motorcycles, Photography and Travel, and hopefully spread the word that there’s a great big world out there, so let’s share it.

If you’ve stuck with me this far, Thank You. I really do appreciate it. Throughout the rest of the year, I’ll be adding more pages to the site. I still have a couple thousand more photos to sift through from the various trips and events over the last 13+ years that I’ve been active the motorcycling community.
